Janine is a U.S. Army veteran who served two tours of duty in the Iraq war. She traveled throughout the country of Iraq by convoy and helicopter inspecting contractors and completing Environmental Health Site Assessments to ensure the health and welfare of our deployed personnel. This experience taught her the importance of situational awareness, safety, and a defensive mindset.
As a civilian, she has continued to increase her knowledge and training in the use of firearms by training at firearm training centers in Georgia, Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma. She also competes regionally in Brazilian jiu-jitsu grappling competitions. She completed training at the Pima County Sheriff's Academy in Tucson, AZ in May 2017 to become a R.A.D. Systems Basic Physical Defense For Women Instructor and in July 2017 to become a C.O.B.R.A. Self-Defense System Certified Instructor. She will be offering assault prevention self-defense classes for women starting Spring 2018.
